Prepress Data Formats and Technical Specifications

We work with the following programmes for MAC:
Quark XPress 6.0 - Adobe Ilustrator 10.0 - Adobe Photoshop 7.0

Notes regarding the above data formats:
Quark XPress: Use Quark's Collect for Output function or make sure to send us all embedded pictures and fonts used in the document.

Adobe Illustrator: Convert all fonts into paths (outlines/curves). If your document contains TIFF or EPS documents, please send them along.

Adobe Photoshop: The ideal resolution for line motifs is 1,200 dpi, and 300 lpi for continuous tone images. Make sure to flatten all layers into a single background layer

Other data formats:
TIFF - EPS - JPEG

We can also handle these data formats. The above specifications for Photoshop files also apply to pixel images, particularly regarding resolution.

Please note that files created in the following programmes/formats do not work for overprinting:
Programmes: Word, PowerPoint, PhotoImpact
Fiel formats: GIF, BMP, PNG, screenshots and image files from Web sites
Even PDF files aren't really suitable.

Printing colours:
For techncial reasons we only accept pantone colours.

Data media and transmission:
Files can be delivered on CDs in Macintosh or ISO 9660 format, but you can also email them to us if the respective attachments don't exceed 30 MB.
